New to the garden this spring...


Lenten roses (Helleborus orientalis) blooming right on time...

I transplanted these late last spring and
am hoping they will, indeed, spread profusely,
as I've been told they will.
They love shade and soil with plenty of organic matter.
I hope they like this spot under the oaks.
They are lovely, in a rather understated kind of way.

we have Lenten Roses as well and they definitely spread! Ours have really multiplied over the years!
