Here's what I actually did this rainy afternoon...I baked bread - oatmeal, milk, and honey bread and it turned out very yummy. I cooked chicken enchiladas to go in Linda's freezer (pick your jaws up off the floor - yes, I actually did cook a dish with meat in it). I made a good dinner - blackeyed peas, collard greens, and butternut squash. We used the green tomato chutney on the blackeyes, also very yummy. Together with the boys, I watched the first scene of the BBC Macbeth production. And I went to the grocery store and to Linda's to let Bubba out and feed Fluffy - not in the original list, but needful.
What I didn't do...laundry, vacuuming, French assignments, tea drinking and reading. I'd rather cook than do laundry or vacuum any day, but I really do need to tackle the French and if it wasn't past my bedtime, I'd curl up with a cup of tea and a book right now. Instead, I'll head upstairs and curl up with my sweetheart!

Beth, I love this entry! This is how I recount my days, too. I have tried to develop a discipline where I recount what DID happen, not just what DIDN'T happen! It makes me infinitely more peaceful on going to bed.
This sounds like a wonderful afternoon Beth! The enchiladas sound yummy, but I'm still wishing I could cook bean concoctions like you do! More practice I suppose (although Scotty really likes meat). :) We love you!
