Wednesday morning was bright and beautiful. Still on east coast time, Coty and I woke early and went for a lovely walk on the Plum Creek Nature Trail, just down the hill from our hotel. I love that wherever we are, my husband scouts out places to walk or cycle.
I spent much of the rest of the day shopping for rehearsal dinner food. A shout out to Sprouts, Castle Rock for ordering in a case of collards for me. I had no idea if I'd be able to find them in the regular grocery store and the Sprouts folks made sure I got what I needed. They were so helpful!
On Wednesday night, Coty, Joel, and I met Jonathan and Kandyce at the Sherpa House in Golden. Our dinner together was a little celebration of Jonathan's completion of his MA at the University of Denver.
Jonathan has worked so hard these last two years. The life of a graduate student, and especially one as conscientious as J, isn't an easy road. He and Kandyce have persevered, though! He will continue at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies working toward his PhD. Three more years? Four? We'll see. His work studying non-violent resistance movements is good work. So proud of our son!

Before we went inside, we spotted the tiny specks that were cyclists making their way up this!
