Needle and ThREAD #24: Pillows

Not much time to post ... I'm heading out to quilt guild tonight, but here's what's been happening in the sewing room this week.

More pillows!

I had a muslin grits bag ...

It is now a pillow and sits on the sofa beside the rice bag pillows.

And then I made another rice bag pillow for our guild swap tonight.  Yellow chevron fabric on the back.

Yesterday, I picked up a coffee bag from a local roaster.  I've been stopping by occasionally to ask if they had any and yesterday, they did!

It's really big.  Any ideas on what I should do with it?  I'm thinking maybe a hassock?

I've been reading, reading, reading ...

Mary Oliver's Poetry Handbook and a couple of books of her poems; Clean Cuisine by Ivy and Andy Larson; The Mind of the Maker by Dorothy Sayers; Divine Conspiracy (still!); and a stack of books on quilt patterns, Indonesian batik, and fabric color work.

And now, I'm off to the guild.
